The team at Folsom Family Dental has been carefully selected by Dr. Pourkay to include a caring and highly competent group of people that are passionate about providing the best care for our patients. We invest many hours in team building, continuing education, and communication in order to maintain an efficient, fun and detail-oriented patient care environment. We keep our workplace fun — which is clear to everyone that comes to see us!
DR. SARA POURKAY
Dr. Sara Pourkay moved to Boulder in 2013 with her husband, Wade, from her hometown of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Prior to moving to Colorado, Dr. Sara practiced in both pediatric and adult dental practices for several years after attending University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine in Philadelphia, which was also her undergraduate alma mater. Dr. Sara is a true polyglot that has dabbled in fashion, dance instruction and performance as well as music prior to her career in dentistry. Dr. Sara believes in providing efficient, conservative dentistry utilizing the best technology and materials.
DEB
Debbie loves her career as a dental hygienist. With 25 years of experience, Debbie is a trusted caregiver and has established a long list of faithful patients here in Colorado. Originally from Connecticut, Debbie received her Associate’s Degree from Forsyth/ Northeastern University in Boston. She balances her time between Folsom Family Dental and raising her two school-aged children with her husband Mike. She enjoys swimming, skiing, hiking, running, and especially loves reading in her spare time.
KAYLA
Kayla and her husband Josh as well as their two cats moved to the Boulder area from Madison, Wisconsin. She completed her Bachelor’s degree from UW-LaCrosse and then furthered her education with a degree in dental hygiene from Madison College. She has been practicing dental hygiene since 2008 and has over 18 years’ experience working in the dental field. Kayla enjoys reading, watching movies, cooking, hiking, and traveling and works with a Periodontic office in addition to ours. We are so happy to have her as a part of our hygiene team!
AMY
Amy is a native to Colorado and comes to us with many years of experience in the front office. A breast cancer survivor, Amy is the most upbeat and positive person we know! Amy enjoys spending time with her family, her husband Phil, son Dillon and daughter Deanna. Together they enjoy riding their horses, playing fetch with their dogs, camping, fishing and rescuing any furry animal they can.
CATINA
Catina lives in Boulder, Colorado with her husband Jeff and their son Boston. She has been in the dental field for 22 years and is recognizable by her kindness and compassion for patients. She brings her southern hospitality to the dental field and has been assisting for 15 years. Catina is originally from San Angelo, Texas, and moved to Colorado in order to be closer to the mountains and experience the outdoors. Catina loves her two cats, Dr. Pepper (although she has recently switched to iced tea because she knows soda is bad for your teeth), a good steak, salsa and hiking!
